 Urgent Surgery

An urgent surgery slot is a short appointment, bookable by telephone at 8am or 1pm on the same day, designed to deal with a healthcare issue needing urgent attention or treatment. We do ask that if you attend urgent surgery you limit your consultation to one problem – for a detailed chat about health problems it is best to make an appointment with your GP.  We regret that we are only able to see registered patients in urgent surgery, temporary residents should book an appointment with a GP.

In urgent surgery you may see either a GP or a Nurse Practitioner (NP).  The NP is an experienced and highly qualified nurse who is able to deal with most issues presented during urgent surgery, and will refer anything more complex to the GP on urgent surgery duty if unable to resolve.
