Norovirus (sickness and diarrhoea bug) in the community
Norovirus (sickness and diarrhoea bug) in the community. To help contain it, please read the following advice
• If you have had bouts of diarrhoea or vomiting in the past 48 hours it may be norovirus. Stay indoors, rest up and drink plenty of fluids. If you are worried about your symptoms, call NHS 111 who can advise on the best course of action and treatment for you.
• Norovirus is very unpleasant but usually resolves itself in 24 to 48 hours.
• It is vital that people who may have norovirus do not visit hospitals, care homes or their GP surgery.
• If you have had norovirus, you should ensure that you have been free of symptoms for a full 48 hours before visiting a friend or relative in hospital or attending an outpatient appointment or your GP surgery.
For more information about what you can do to help stop Norovirus spreading, please click to download the information leaflet produced by Public Health England. Thank you everyone, and please stay well.

Through carefully guided conversations, our staff can help to unpick the issues which may underlie or exacerbate your health conditions. We can also offer ongoing support from one of our trained volunteers to help you get connected with other local services and groups that may help you work through any issues identified to improve your health and wellbeing'
